Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year will begin March 9 for children residing in the Mount Vernon City School District.

Continuing Open Enrollment Begins March 1 for students who are currently Open Enrolled in the Mount Vernon City School District and wish to continue Open Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year.

Columbia’s Student Council is launching a heartfelt community service project starting February 23 to collect snacks for our local firefighters, police officers, and emergency responders. Join us in showing appreciation for the heroes who keep our community safe!

Columbia Kindergarten Registration and Screening - May 1st.

Yearbooks are now on sale for $17.00 each, and families can order using the flier sent home or online at hr.imaging.com by the March 9, 2026 deadline. Spring and class pictures will be taken on March 13, and photo packages can also be ordered online.

Excellence In Education
Columbia Elementary earned a Five-Star rating in Gap Closing on the Ohio Department of Education’s annual report card, recognizing the school’s success in supporting student groups and helping all learners make strong academic progress. Columbia Elementary also received an overall Four-Star rating, reflecting consistent performance across multiple areas. These results highlight the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can succeed.
