Fourth-grade students at Columbia Elementary showed leadership and kindness by mentoring first graders during a writing activity, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. The experience helped build confidence, strengthen cross-grade connections, and highlight the school’s positive, collaborative community.

Columbia Student Council led a school-wide effort to collect and sort snack donations for local first responders and emergency room staff. The project highlights the group’s ongoing commitment to teaching students the importance of helping others and staying connected to their community.

First graders researched penguins and Antarctica, then wrote and published their own paragraphs to share with families during A Trip Around the World!. They also transformed their hallway into an Antarctic iceberg with life-size penguins, bringing their learning to life through creativity and teamwork.
